Land Banking <br /> Q2: BOCC Discussion Question: What are the Board's criteria and priorities for land banking? <br /> Background Information provided: definition of land banking and land trusts and examples of each, <br /> Northside Land Bank, Chapel Hill and Community Home Trust respectively. <br /> 3. Mobile Homes in the County: Background Information and Strategies <br /> Q3: Are the strategies provided viable options to consider and what are the concerns and the guidance by <br /> the Board? <br /> Background Information provided: information on the county's mobile home inventory; strategies to <br /> support and develop the inventory and some of the strengths, opportunities and challenges. Examples ae <br /> also provided of mobile home programs that have been successful in meeting their affordable housing goals <br /> from Chesapeake Virginia, City of Richmond, Virginia, New Jersey and Michigan. <br /> 4. Use of County Owned Property and Update on the Greene Tract <br /> Q3: Staff is ready to move to next steps for use of some of county owned land and prepare request for <br /> proposals (with the exception of the two largest properties, the Greene tract and Southern Human Services <br /> Campus); is the Board in agreement with staff proceeding? <br /> Background Information provided: Brief update on the status of this Item. <br /> S. Planning Initiatives to Further Affordable Housing <br /> Q4: Are there other planning issues and opportunities the Board believes need to be pursued or are we on <br /> the right track? <br /> Background Information provided: Summary of Planning's actions taken to date, being considered or <br /> currently exist to further affordable housing. <br /> 6.
