Leveraging Existing County And/or Other Local Government Owned <br /> Land <br /> Overview <br /> Proposed strategy 1.1 within the proposed 5-year plan - "Identify publicly <br /> owned land or property located within the County that may be used to address <br /> affordable housing needs identified in the Plan" is moving forward with several <br /> actions and reasonably attainable outcomes: <br /> 1) Small parcel uses - accepting existing housing units needing <br /> displacement. The County is currently working with other <br /> municipalities to structure a process for sharing information and <br /> resources to positively affect homes facing deconstruction that could <br /> remain within the affordable housing inventory if moved to a <br /> suitable home site. As an example, the County is working with <br /> Hillsborough in its efforts to move an unoccupied County owned <br /> home facing deconstruction to make room for the Sportsplex Field <br /> House.
