Benedict, Planning Director <br />Craig Benedict: I will give you and update now as to where we are. The Steering committed reconvened <br />on January 110' and addressed comments from the Public Hearing from Orange County and Hillsborough. <br />They thought it was best to clarify the difference between Phase I and Phase II. The consultant was asked <br />to put together a resolution that describes the sentiment of the Steering Committee and forward the <br />resolution entitled "Resolution Accepting Strategic Growth Plan and Calling for Preparation of Inter local <br />Agreement" and attaching a conceptual map. The resolution was forwarded to the Hillsborough Planning <br />Board on January 18fl' and it was approved. The attached map changed by not giving outer definitive <br />boundaries. The resolution also states there is more work to be done. The Phase II Implementation will <br />be pursued with consultant help and staff will try to.program additional money in next year's budget for <br />the Phase 11 process. <br />Craufurd Goodwin: The phrase rural buffer was a mistake and should be banned. <br />Craig Benedict: The phrase now being used is the Town of Hillsborough Orange County Area <br />Coordinated Planning Area. On page 069, the time frames are listed. On February 12, the Town of <br />Hillsborough will review it and on February 20'h, the Board of County Commissioners will review. <br />Judith Wegner: What is the intent of the boundaries on page 067? <br />as <br />Craig Benedict: The black line?... relates to present Water and Sewer areas
