3 <br /> 1 WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Jared Drexler, the Carrboro High School Women's <br /> 2 Soccer Team earned its third NCHSAA State title, also winning the State title in <br /> 3 2012 and 2015; and <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the Lady Jaguars completed the season with a 21-1-2 record; and <br /> 6 <br /> 7 WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the Lady Jaguars <br /> 8 brought honor upon themselves, Carrboro High School, the Chapel Hill / Carrboro <br /> 9 City Schools District and Orange County; <br /> 10 <br /> 11 NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> 12 expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the Carrboro High <br /> 13 School Women's Soccer Team and Coach Drexler for the Jaguars' <br /> 14 outstanding achievement and for their inspiration to youth across North <br /> 15 Carolina through their dedication, teamwork, and athletic prowess. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 This the 21st day of June 2016. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to <br /> 20 approve the attached proclamation recognizing the Carrboro High School Women's Soccer <br /> 21 Team for winning the 2016 State Championship and authorized the Chair to sign the <br /> 22 proclamation on behalf of the Board. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 25 <br /> 26 5. Consent Agenda <br /> 27 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 28 Commissioner Jacobs requested the removal of items e and h. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 31 <br /> 32 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> 33 approve the remaining items on the Consent Agenda. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 36 <br /> 37 • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> 38 <br /> 39 e. Orange County ABC Board Travel Policy <br /> 40 The Board considered voting to approve the Orange County Alcoholic Beverage Control <br /> 41 (ABC) Board's adoption and continued use of Orange County's travel policy. <br /> 42 Commissioner Jacobs said this policy does not address the role of advisory members <br /> 43 traveling at the County's expense, and in the past ABC Board members had misused travel. <br /> 44 He wanted clarification on this policy as related to his concern. <br /> 45 John Roberts asked if Commissioner Jacobs' concern was with the Orange County <br /> 46 travel policy overall or just with the ABC Board using it. <br /> 47 Commissioner Jacobs said his concern stems from the ABC Board having had problems <br /> 48 in the past. <br />
