8 <br /> 1 o DHIC Loan - $300,000 <br /> 2 o Rental Production Program - $1.0 million loan <br /> 3 o HOME loan - $154,000 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Chair McKee clarified that the DHIC project was a Chapel Hill project, to which the <br /> 6 County contributed and asked if the County were to execute a similar project, would the County <br /> 7 absorb all the cost. <br /> 8 Travis Myren said The Town of Chapel Hill contributed land and was able to access <br /> 9 other funding sources to make up the difference. <br /> 10 Audrey Spencer Horsley, Housing, Human Rights and Community Development <br /> 11 Director, said tax credits were worth approximately $7.4 million. <br /> 12 Chair McKee asked if the County would pursue the private market to put up money in <br /> 13 order to acquire a tax credit, such as was done in the Eno Haven project. <br /> 14 Audrey Spencer Horsley said yes. <br /> 15 Travis Myren resumed the presentation. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 0 Example Projects — New Construction <br /> 18 • Habitat for Humanity: Tinnin Woods, Efland <br /> 19 9 out of 28 homes complete — 2015 <br /> 20 • Orange County also provided $125,278 in homeownership assistance <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Commissioner Price said the cost to the County is more in the Efland project than in <br /> 23 Chapel Hill, and asked if that is because Chapel Hill is giving land and has other partners. <br /> 24 Travis Myren said yes. <br /> 25 Commissioner Price asked if Orange County is putting in more money because of the <br /> 26 impact fee reimbursement. <br /> 27 Travis Myren said yes.
