1 <br /> 1 Attachment 2 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 DRAFT MINUTES <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> 7 Budget Work Session <br /> 8 June 14, 2016 <br /> 9 7:00 p.m. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in a budget work session on Tuesday, June <br /> 12 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitted Building in Hillsborough, N.C. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair McKee and Commissioners Mia Burroughs, <br /> 15 Barry Jacobs, Bernadette Pelissier, Renee Price and Penny Rich <br /> 16 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Dorosin <br /> 17 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: <br /> 18 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy Manager Travis <br /> 19 Myren and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff members will be identified <br /> 20 appropriately below) <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Chair McKee called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. He noted the following items at <br /> 23 the Commissioners' places: <br /> 24 - Gold sheet— amendment list <br /> 25 - Purple sheet — information about Cardinal Innovations Healthcare — OPC Community Office <br /> 26 - Green and yellow sheet— additional information <br /> 27 - White sheets — PowerPoint presentation for Budget Work Session 3 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Chair McKee commented on the tragedy in Orlando, noting the enormity of the event. <br /> 30 He said such events should not occur, especially in this country. He said Commissioner Jacobs <br /> 31 requested a letter be sent to the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, Florida and the <br /> 32 City of Orlando, to express the County's condolences. <br /> 33 Chair McKee read the letter, saying the Clerk will forward the letter to both entities <br /> 34 tomorrow. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 1.
