The book design and production will be done by
Copperline Books of Hillsborough. The extensive list of authors who will be contributing to the
volume can be found in the attached spreadsheet, labeled "Carolina Table."
We plan to do a series of readings, including readings at the public libraries in Orange
County and at the independent bookstores. Details are being ironed out,but our hope is to
engage the community, readers and writers, food enthusiasts, story lovers, and to anchor our
food stories in kitchens and dining rooms in Orange County and across the state. Eno has a track
record for successful book launches, drawing a diverse audience. From library and bookstore
readings for our "27 Views" books, our audiences span generations from teenagers to seniors,
and ethnicity--usually about 20 percent being people of color.
We plan to print 3,000 copies of The Carolina Table. We believe that the book will have
wide appeal with African American, Asian, and Latino audiences. As of late May, one in five of
our contributors is a person of color. In addition,we have many young voices represented, as
well as members of the LGBT community.
3
