DocuSign Envelope ID:95736998-6EDA-43E6-B687-C1 F04EF89D27 <br /> Proposed Use of Funds <br /> This year, we are requesting support from the Orange Arts Council in the amount of$1500 to <br /> compensate performers who will presented at or Third Annual Latin American Festival. <br /> El Centro Hispano's Third Latin American Festival is a family friendly, outdoor event <br /> that attracts a multicultural audience from Carrboro-Chapel Hill and the surrounding areas to <br /> create a cultural space to explore traditional and contemporary Latin American culture and its <br /> diversity through music, dance, art, and authentic food from its various nations. <br /> The event will be held on August 28, 2016 from noon to 7pm on Weaver St in Carrboro and is <br /> expected to gather anywhere from 800- 1200 people that make up the diversity of the area <br /> Activities include: <br /> • Food vendors and Food trucks from various Latin-American nations <br /> • Artisans,Artists Booths/Displays <br /> • Performances (folkloric and contemporary dances, musicians,bands and perfoimers) <br /> • Infouuation booths of local organizations and businesses <br /> • A 2.5hr Zumbathon <br /> Attached is a listing of performers that have presented at our festival in the past and who will b <br /> invited to attend again this year. We are still confirming performers but they include a <br /> Our sponsors to date include Sponsors Wells Fargo, Hendrik Southpoint, BCBSNC, and <br /> Compare Foods. <br /> The event will be promoted through fliers,radio and TV announcements, social media posts, and <br /> through our staff and volunteers. <br />
