Good audiences assemble in an orderly fashion, treat their guest with
exemplary manners, pay attention, participate enthusiastically when invited to do so, and
show appreciation with applause when appropriate. Following these simple matters of
common courtesy brings out the best in your performer and creates an atmosphere in which
all can have fun and learn. It is equally important that teachers not converse or grade papers
during programs, as they are the example the children are following.
3rd-5t" Grade Students
• The setting is 200 years ago, right where we are now, in NC, (or Virginia, or South
Carolina...).
