2 <br />its January 2007 meeting, the committee recommended Chapel Hill-based Jennings Advertising <br />and this recommendation was unanimously approved by the Board. The proposed term of the <br />contract for these services would be from March 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. The <br />agreement may be extended annually for two additional years if mutually agreed by both parties. <br />If the BOCC chooses to award this RFP, a contract will be prepared to reflect the terms of the <br />Request for Proposal attached to this abstract. Following the appropriate attorney and staff <br />reviews, it is requested that the Chair be authorized to execute the contract without further <br />Board action. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Total cost of this action, if approved by the Board, would be $200,000, <br />with twenty- five percent ($50,000) of the costs occurring in FY 2006-2007 and the remaining <br />$150,000 in FY 2007-2008. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board award the proposal to <br />Jennings Advertising, Chapel Hill; and authorize the Chair to sign on behalf of the Board, <br />contingent upon final review by staff and the County Attorney.
