1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: June 21, 2016 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. 5-1 (Proposed) <br /> SUBJECT: Amendment to the County Manager's Employment Agreement <br /> DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> John Roberts, 245-2318 <br /> Amendment <br /> PURPOSE: To consider amending the County Manager's employment agreement. <br /> BACKGROUND: On June 20, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners met with County <br /> Manager Bonnie Hammersley, to discuss her performance for the prior year as County Manager <br /> of Orange County. During that meeting the Board determined to increase the County <br /> Manager's salary to $186,501. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no social justice impact associated with this item. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: This action increases the costs associated with the County Manager's <br /> compensation by approximately ten thousand dollars ($10,000) plus other minor associated <br /> costs related to benefits. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Chair recommends the Board approve the attached amendment <br /> to the County Manager's employment agreement. <br />
