Chapel Hill Town Council <br />May 2007 Various Chapel Hill Advisory Boards (multiple meetings) <br />May -June 2007 ~ Orange County Planning Board <br />August 21, 2007 Board of Commissioners final approval of plans following regulatory <br />comments <br />September 2007 Chapel Hill Town Council Public-Hearing <br />Construction is expected to start no later than early December 2007, with completion within <br />twelve (12) months. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The budget for all elements of the project, as stated in the Capital <br />Investment Plan, is $5.7 million. The design services were approved of $623,375, including <br />approximately $71,000 for work associated with the Chapel HilllOrange County regulatory <br />approval process. The construction budget has been established at $4.5 million. The fees <br />paid to municipalities and utility providers for the Special Use Permit, Zoning Permit, Zoning <br />Compliance Permit, OWASA and Duke Power permits are estimated at $74,000 and are not <br />included in the stated design fee. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the information, <br />provide comments as appropriate and endorse the concept plan. <br />
