Material Deliveries: <br /> This Contractor shall provide to the Designer as soon as possible,and not later than seven(7)weeks <br /> after job is awarded,copies of factory acknowledgments of orders of all major items of material,i.e. <br /> air handlers,compressors,controls,special systems,etc. These acknowledgments should show date <br /> of factory entry and delivery dates promised by the supplier and be updated as job progresses or <br /> changes occur. Subsequent monthly applications for payment will not be processed for payment <br /> until above information is received each month. <br /> C. TESTING AGENCY APPROVAL OR LISTING: <br /> 1) All fabricated assemblies of electrically operated equipment furnished under this contract <br /> shall have approval and listing of recognized third party agencies accredited by the NCBCC to label <br /> electrical and mechanical equipment as of August 1, 1991, or other agency satisfactory to authority <br /> having jurisdiction; in every case where such approval and listing has been established for said <br /> assemblies or equipment. <br /> 2) All manufactured items of electrically operated equipment shall have approval and listing of <br /> recognized third party agencies accredited by the NCBCC to label electrical and mechanical <br /> equipment as of August 1, 1991, or other agency satisfactory to authority having jurisdiction; in <br /> every case where such approval and listing has been established for said items of equipment. <br /> 15621 SEISMIC RESTRAINTS: <br /> A. The Mechanical Contractor shall be responsible for providing restraints to resist the <br /> earthquake effects on the mechanical system. The requirements for these restraints are found in <br /> Section 1613 (and sections that follow thru 1614), entitled"Earthquake Loads-General",of the NC <br /> Building Code. <br /> B. Figures shown in the above code states that this project has effective earthquake spectral <br /> response acceleration at short periods(Ss),and earthquake spectral response acceleration at 1-second <br /> period (S1), for this project located in Orange County,North Carolina. The Professional Engineer <br /> who is utilized by the Mechanical Contractor for the Seismic Design(See Below),shall refer to this <br /> section of the Code, for appropriate values of Ss and Si. <br /> C. Section 1613 - 1614 states that parts or portions of the buildings or structure,non-structural <br /> components,and their anchorage to the main structural system shall be designed for seismic forces in <br /> accordance with the applicable equations. <br /> D.
