The titles shall be short and <br /> concise and abbreviations maybe used as long as the meaning is clear. In finished rooms,equipment <br /> shall be identified by engraved nameplates as specified. <br /> S. MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS: <br /> Operating and Maintenance Instructions on all equipment shall be provided: <br /> Owner's manuals: Organize owner's operation,maintenance,and installation instructions into sets of <br /> manageable size. Bind in individual heavy-duty 3-ring vinyl-covered binders of appropriate size, <br /> with pocket folders for folded sheet information. Mark identification on front and spine of each <br /> binder. Submit four(4)complete copies to the Engineer for review prior to final inspection. Include <br /> the following information, with tabs to separate information for each piece of equipment: <br /> Submittal data <br /> Spare parts lists <br /> Manufacturer's operating, installation, and maintenance instructions <br /> Copies of warranties <br /> Wiring diagrams <br /> Preventive maintenance procedures and frequencies <br /> Test and balance reports <br /> As-Built Test&Balance Drawings <br /> As-built control drawings <br /> Report of factory start-ups, or contractor's check-out data <br /> Valve tag lists <br /> Names and addresses of manufacturer's or subcontractors and suppliers. <br /> Provide rack in each equipment room for owner's manual storage. Provide a plastic envelope on the <br /> wall of each equipment room with inspection certificates, control diagrams, elementary wiring <br /> diagrams,piping schematics, valve lists, etc. <br /> Prior to Application for Final Payment of the contract,this Contractor shall be responsible to train <br /> owner's personnel. <br /> Owner training: Train owner's personnel in system and equipment operation and maintenance, <br /> including normal and emergency operation, start-up and shut-down, troubleshooting procedures, <br /> repair procedures,routine preventive maintenance procedures and frequencies,nouual adjustments, <br /> safety precaution, warranty terms and procedures, and assistance available from manufacturer's <br /> authorized service representatives. Training is to include review of owner's manual information <br /> described above. Where required elsewhere in these specifications,training is to be conducted by <br /> manufacturer's authorized service representative or factory representative as part of equipment start- <br /> up specified. Upon completion of training,the organization conducting training shall submit on its <br /> letterhead to the Engineer a letter stating what training was conducted, date of training, names of <br /> 15H-8 <br />
