DocuSign Envelope ID: E9612703-F25B-492D-9C8C-EC3F9728ECE6 <br /> architectural design cannot be followed,this Contractor shall at his own expense,make changes in <br /> his work as directed by the Designer so that the architectural design may be followed. <br /> Any cutting or patching required by the failure of this Contractor to install sleeves,inserts,hangers, <br /> etc.,at the proper time,or failure to accurately locate above items,shall be done at his own expense. <br /> This Contractor shall advise General Contractor at proper time an exact location of all roof,wall and <br /> floor openings. All such penetrations shall have sleeves. <br /> Any cutting of walls or structures required for the installation of work under this division shall be <br /> done by this Contractor. Holes for passage of pipe and ducts shall be properly and neatly sleeved <br /> and grouted. All sleeve openings to be appropriately sealed at completion of construction. Sleeves <br /> through exterior walls shall be effectively sealed against passage of water. All disturbed areas shall <br /> be refinished and left in a finished and matching condition and must meet approval of Designer. <br /> This Contractor shall properly firestop all floor and wall penetrations utilizing rated assemblies to <br /> provide the required fire protection. Firestopping is to be installed in strict compliance with the U.L. <br /> through-penetration firestop system(s) applicable or as shown on the plans, or an approved equal. <br /> Submit shop drawings showing manufacturer's installation details/sections for approval. Persons <br /> installing firestopping shall have on site the approved firestopping submittals during installation,and <br /> at final inspection. Firestopping shall be installed per manufacturer's installation instructions and in <br /> strict compliance with U.L. rating. <br /> All disturbed areas shall be refinished and left in a finished and matching condition and must meet <br /> approval of Designer. <br /> I. INSPECTIONS AND 'TESTS: <br /> No piping, duct work, or other installation shall be covered up or concealed until it has been tested <br /> and inspected as called for under appropriate sections of these specifications. This Contractor shall <br /> furnish all labor, fuel, equipment or special apparatus required, and bear all expense of such tests. <br /> The Designer shall be given advance notice of time tests are to be made, so a representative may be <br /> present to observe. <br /> J. ALLOWANCE FOR ADDED WORK: <br /> Before proceeding with any work for which compensation may be claimed or the Owner may claim <br /> credit,a detailed estimate shall first be submitted and approved in writing. No claim for addition to <br /> the contract sum will be valid unless so ordered and approved by the Owner and Designer,prior to <br /> start of work.
