as <br />Reception: Provide an adequate reception area to accommodate the clients who will <br />come to the building. This would probably be very few people waiting except when a <br />class is scheduled to begin. There will need to be a space for an office <br />assistant/receptionist in that area. <br />Storage: Provide space for bulk storage as well as some closets for equipment, <br />particularly the items used by the trainers. The bulk storage should include an area <br />appropriate to be a file room and other space that can be used for items such as car. seats <br />and cribs. This could probably all be accommodated in the current workshop area <br />without significant renovation. <br />This design would allow us to have some relief at the Whitted Building and would also <br />allow for some of the functions at Southern Human Services to occur there. Rooms for <br />seeing clients and for any meetings have become problematic at all sites. <br />Some of these functions occur in the evening so we would need to take appropriate <br />measures regarding building'security. <br />Our agency has pilot funds available through June 30, 2007, that could help with the <br />furnishing of the Work First office space. We also can receive reimbursement of part of <br />any renovation costs through our administrative procedures. <br />Please let me know if you have questions or if there are other actions I need to take <br />regarding this site.
