PROPOSED COMPOSITION <br />Four Citizen representatives-At Large <br />One representative from the Board of Trustees, Hyconeechee Regional Library System <br />Two representatives of the Board of County Commissioners-Commission Jacobs and <br />Commissioner Nelson <br />Orange County Purchasing Director - Pam Jones <br />One representative of the Archival Task Force (Heritage Center) <br />One representative of the Chapel Hill Carrboro Schools Board of Education <br />One representative of the Orange County School Board <br />One representative from Durham Technical Community College <br />Orange County Library Director - Brenda Stephens <br />Chapel Hill Library Director- Kathy Thompson <br />One designee from the Town of Carrboro Board of Alderman <br />One designee from the Hillsborough Town Board <br />One designee from the Chapel Hill Town Council <br />One representative UNC School of Information and Library Sciences <br />One representative from each of the Friends (4) groups supporting Orange County <br />Libraries. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with engaging the Library <br />Services Task Force other than general administrative and staff costs. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board consider the following: <br />1) Adopt the proposed Charge and Composition, or modify, as the Board deems <br />appropriate. <br />2) Appoint the members of the Library Services Task Force as the Board decides.
