In order to help position A Southern Season, Sheer <br /> developed the branding, packaging designs (still in use), catalogs and <br /> a new direct mail initiative. In addition, Sheer consulted on the <br /> development of a central customer database that allowed direct <br /> marketing opportunities to flourish. Today, A Southern Season has <br /> transferred to new ownership with several hundred employees and <br /> has grown into one of the largest gourmet food stores in the country. <br /> • Carolina Meadows - Sheer worked with Carolina Meadows beginning <br /> in 1987 and successfully completed over 400 communication projects <br /> for this Continuing Care Retirement Community over 20 years. <br /> Initially, they were struggling to make ends meet, having located in a <br /> remote area of Chatham County. Sheer helped with the development <br /> and implementation of a marketing strategy that transformed the <br /> community into one of the leading retirement communities in the <br /> nation. In fact, Senior Living consistently listed Carolina Meadows as <br /> one of the top five retirement communities in the United States. <br /> Sheer's contribution was recognized by the Mature Media awards as <br /> "The best in advertising, marketing and educational materials for <br /> older adults." In addition, Sheer Associates won multiple national <br /> awards from Mature Media and the National Association of Area <br /> Agencies on Aging. <br /> • Chapel Hill/Orange County Travel a Tourism - Sheer worked with <br /> the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau for fourteen years, <br /> was named agency of record in 1996, and continued to serve through <br /> multiple contract renewals. Sheer produced nearly all the <br /> expressions of Orange County's travel and meeting planning <br /> materials. These include videos, trade shows, advertising, <br />
