N <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The 2001 voter approved bonds included $850,000 for development of <br />Fairview Park. In additiori to constructing a playing field and other amenities at the Park, the <br />bond funds were to cover the cost of replacing the existing playground. Current estimates for <br />the playground site work, apparatus, installation, safety surfacing, ADA access and signage <br />range from $35,000 to $40,000. Therefore, it is recommended that a portion of the bond funds <br />be used to cover the scope of work outlined in the background section. <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve immediate <br />replacement of the structure, and authorize spending of up to $40,000 from the Fairview Park <br />bond funds. <br />
