Master Plan Recommendations w/NOTE INFORMATION CONTACT: Geoff Gledhill, 732-2196 Gwen Harvey, 245-2300 David Stancil, 245-2590 PURPOSE: To confirm proposed resolution to the Public Works land swap issue with the Town of Hillsborough related to the agreement between the Town and the County, thereby helping to finalize the Fairview Public Campus Master Plan approval process. BACKGROUND: In the fall of 2004, the BOCC asked the Town and County legal and management staff to refine a draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that would outline a design process for creating a Fairview Public Campus Master Plan. The Plan would encompass the 67-acre Fairview park site and the adjoining 26-acre County Public Works property, including properties subject to land swap discussions. A Memorandum of Agreement was approved by the BOCC and Town during November 2004. Attachment 1 - by way of reference - is a copy of the executed Memorandum of Agreement. This Memorandum of Agreement did not address park facilities operations or maintenance - matters to be addressed under separate cover pending future negotiations between the County and Town. The Fairview Public Campus Master Plan Committee began its work in October 2005 and recommendations were presented to both elected bodies in early 2006.
