We got it done, but I have a <br /> pretty good idea of how difficult the job can be sometimes. If I could work with Chapel Hill, I <br /> think I can work with any municipality. <br /> What unique perspective can you bring to the Orange County Board of Adjustment? <br /> I have a background in business from my years in banking. I also have a true appreciation for <br /> the history of Hillsborough. <br /> What do you see as the responsibilities of this board, and what do you hope to <br /> accomplish if appointed? <br /> As an advisory board, I believe that the BOA must study the effect of proposed changes and <br /> variations from the town s ordinances. <br /> What do you consider to be be the most important issues facing Orange County related <br /> to growth? <br /> Finding the balance between keeping the historic quaintness of Hillsborough and dealing with <br /> inevitable modern needs. <br /> What role should the Board of Adjustment take in guiding and regulating growth? <br /> I believe the BOA s tasks would be getting a good understanding of the proposed <br /> project/development and then making an informed recommendation to <br /> How would you,as a member of the Planning Board, contribute to the implementation of <br /> the Board of Commissioners' adopted Goals and Priorities? <br /> I dealt with the same sort of balance when I lived in Orange County just outside of Chapel Hill, <br /> which struggles with the same sort of balance. <br /> Other Comments: <br /> This application was current on: 2/17/2016 3:43:15 PM Date Printed: 2/19/2016 <br />
