Remove existing shingles <br />to the sheathing. Remove all exposed nails and prepare roof <br />for felt paper. Install brown eve starter, 15 lb felt paper, vent boots <br />and 25 year shingles. Note: Refer to manufacture specifications for <br />installation. Note: Do not damage existing step flashing around <br />chimney and at gable walls. Install all necessary flashing around <br />both top and bottom sections of the chimney to prevent water <br />intrusion. <br />Page 2 <br />2. Install a shingle type ridge vent on all ridges. Note: Refer to <br />manufacture specifications for ridge vent installation. <br />3. Install continuous aluminum gutters and over-sized downspouts on <br />all fascias. Note: All downspouts shall be connected to solid drain- <br />tile that extends not less than ten (10) feet from the foundation wall. <br />Note: If at ten feet from foundation wall if positive drainage do not <br />exist, the drain tile must extend until positive drainage is met. <br />Note: Special hangers will be required due to style of boxing. _ <br />4. Install metal gutters guards on all gutters. <br />Wheelchair Ramp: <br />Remove the steps and handrails on the rear deck. Install a ramp <br />from the rear deck to a 5ft x 5ft landing centered over the sidewalk. <br />( Refer to Plan) Install a ramp from the landing toward the front <br />of the unit. The ramp width shall be 4ft in the clear. All wood <br />shall be pressure treated lumber. All nails and bolts shall be hot <br />dipped galvanized. Install 2x2 pickets placed 4" apart per code. <br />Install handrails on both sides of the ramp. All work to pass <br />inspection with the Orange County Inspection Dept. A permit <br />is required. _
