3 <br /> The new planned parking lot is a further investment in the Fairview community, and will provide <br /> additional parking to the park while decreasing traffic on local neighborhood streets. Park <br /> patrons accessing the park from the new lot will help make community streets safe, and the <br /> parking lots location within the park adjoining the tennis courts and walking track minimizes <br /> safety concerns about remote parking lots accessed through wooded areas. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1. Authorize the County Manager to award the bid and, upon County Attorney review, <br /> execute the construction contract for the Fairview Park Parking Expansion Project during <br /> the summer break in an amount not to exceed the project budget; <br /> 2. Authorize the County Manager to approve project change orders for the project up to the <br /> project budget; and <br /> 3. Approve the reimbursement resolution for the project in the form presented. <br />
