Approval of 2016 -2017 HOME Program Design for Consolidated Plan —Annual Action <br /> Plan Update <br /> The Board will consider: <br /> (1) Receiving comments from the public regarding the FY 2016 - 2017 Consolidated Plan — <br /> Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs in Orange County; <br /> (2) Adopt and authorize the Chair to sign a Resolution approving the proposed HOME Program <br /> Activities for 2016-2017 including: <br /> a) $285,000 in Homeownership Assistance funds for Orange County Habitat for <br /> Humanity; <br /> b) $50,000 in Housing Rehabilitation funds for Rebuilding Together of the Triangle; <br /> c) $114,655 in Housing Rehabilitation funds for the Orange County Housing, Human <br /> Rights and Community Development Department; and <br /> d) $30,854 in Project Administration funds for the Orange County Housing, Human <br /> Rights and Community Development Department; <br /> (3) Adopt a Resolution approving the FY 2016-2017 Consolidated Housing Plan —Annual <br /> Action Plan; and <br /> (4) Authorize the Manager to implement the HOME Program as approved by the BOCC <br /> including the ability to execute agreements with partnering non-profit organizations after <br /> consultation with the County Attorney. <br /> Audrey Spencer Horsley, Housing, Human Rights, and Community Development <br /> Director, reviewed the information in the abstract. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he concurred with Audrey Spencer-Horsley, and one of the <br /> challenges is that when HOME money is put into a rehab, the entire home must be brought up <br /> to code.
