17 <br /> • Serve the Residents of Orange County— Our Residents Come First; <br /> • Depend on the energy, skills, and dedication of all our employees and volunteers; <br /> • Treat all our Residents and Employees with fairness, respect, and understanding. <br /> Orange County Residents Come First <br /> Commissioner Jacobs referred to the inmate amount going up to $100, and asked if the <br /> current amount could be given. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said the current inmate amount is $66. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs referred to the Administrative Assistant at the Seymour Center <br /> and clarified that evening hours had been cut at both senior centers. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said because the Central Orange Senior Center is located next to <br /> the Sportsplex, there are temporaries that allow that facility to stay open later than Seymour. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs asked if this is indicated in the budget document as it may be <br /> perceived as one senior center being advantaged over another. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said there can be a technical amendment in the final adopted <br /> budget, to that effect. <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said the Functional Leadership Teams' ranking forms can be <br /> found in the appendices. <br /> Commissioner Burroughs thanked the Manager and her staff for creatively attacking <br /> thorny issues of years passed. <br /> Commissioner Burroughs said she appreciated the Manager's positive attitude of <br /> putting everything on the table to discuss and build upon. <br /> Commissioner Burroughs referred to the schools and noted this budget is not what was <br /> requested but it is an offering with which to move forward and discuss. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin referred to page 7 and various general government studies. He <br /> asked if this is located within the budget document. <br /> Paul Laughton said the items for the Development Impact and Double Taxation <br /> proposed studies will be under the County Manager's tab and the stormwater fee collection will <br /> be under the Tax Administration tab. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said historically the budget presentation was a stand-alone <br /> presentation with an adjournment and he liked this format better. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said it is refreshing to have a participatory process with the <br /> budget. <br /> Commissioner Rich said this is the Manager's budget from start to finish and it is <br /> different. She thanked Bonnie Hammersley for keeping the Board of County Commissioners <br /> involved. <br /> Commissioner Price agreed with the previous comments. <br /> 5. Consent Agenda <br /> • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> - Item F by Commissioner Jacobs and Price <br /> - Item G by Commissioner Price <br /> - Item H by Commissioner Jacobs and Rich <br /> • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Price to approve the <br /> remaining items on the consent agenda. <br />
