<br /> 4.2.1 Factory Inspection. End user agency shall be responsible for travel and expenses related to factory
<br /> inspections.
<br /> 6.4 Warranty. The patient compartment, all modifications to the OEM chassis by Offeror on the accepted unit,
<br /> equipment and parts shall be guaranteed for a minimum period of ONE (1) years against defects in design,
<br /> materials, and workmanship. The warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the equipment. This
<br /> warranty shall cover parts and labor expenses.
<br /> On type I&III emergency medical service MODULE the warranty period shall be fifteen(15)years.
<br /> This warranty shall be upgraded to its original status each time the module is remounted by Contractor or a
<br /> Contractor authorized remount facility,not to exceed five(5)years above the original warranty.
<br /> Warranty of all system equipment shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor under contract, but may be
<br /> performed by their certified, designated agent.
<br /> In the event any component part of equipment or materials furnished under these specifications, or it's subsequent
<br /> contract(s), becomes defective by reason of material or workmanship during said period, and the end user agency
<br /> immediately notifies Contractor of such defect, Contractor shall at no expense to the End User agency or H-GAC,
<br /> repair or replace equipment or component with new equipment or component.
<br /> Contractor shall furnish copies of warranties for all installed or otherwise provided equipment upon delivery of
<br /> vehicle(s) to end user agencies. "On site" service shall be furnished for minor repairs and electrical problems by the
<br /> contractor,but may be performed by their certified, designated agent emergency medical service units.

<br /> 15. MINIMUM CAB/CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS FOR AMBULANCES
<br /> Offered commercial cab-chasses shall meet all specification herein,including the following:
<br /> • All cab/chassis shall be current model Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet, GMC,International,Freightliner or other
<br /> compliant cab& chassis,with 47A ambulance prep-package,where applicable, to be included in the base unit
<br /> price.

<br /> 10,100 GVWR min.—Types I and III
<br /> 9,000 GVWR min.—Type 11
<br /> 14,000 GVWR min.—Type I AD
<br /> • Chassis OEM engine suitable for proposed units intended use with automatic transmission and drive train,with
<br /> spin-on oil filter, dry paper element type air filter,minimum one-half inch clearance between fan blades and
<br /> radiator, and radiator with heavy duty coolant recovery system.
<br /> • Multi-speed automatic w/auxiliary transmission cooler
<br /> • Power steering
<br /> • Brakes, dual hydraulic power,rear anti-lock braking system on type 1,11, and 111, self adjusting with:
<br /> - front—heavy duty disc
<br /> - rear —heavy duty drum on Type 1,11,and III

<br /> • Dual parking brake,cable actuated operated on type 1,11,and III
