Orange County acquired the property in 1977. The facility sup- <br /> ported human services delivery, library services, and aging services through <br /> 2009. The adjacent Cedar Grove Park was constructed and open in 2009. <br /> In 2013, the Northern Human Services Center Community Center Resident Advi- <br /> sory Group, consisting of community volunteers, was charged by the Orange <br /> County Board of County Commissioners to work with staff consulting architects <br /> to provide recommendations on renovation and re-use of the former center that <br /> would best serve the residents of Orange County. <br /> The Community Center renovations were completed in the Spring of 2016 and <br /> include flexible multi-purpose space, wireless Internet access, an advance library <br /> services delivery kiosk, and public transportation access. <br /> _ <br />
