Qualifications of <br />Roger Waldon, FAICP <br />Clarion Associates <br />39 <br />Roger Waldon is a Senior Consultant with Clarion Associates, based in the North Carolina <br />office. Mr. Waldon served as Planning Director for the Town of Chapel Hill for 21 years, <br />directing the Town's comprehensive planning and growth management functions. His work <br />has included preparation of land use plans and special area plans, preparation and <br />administration of design guidelines, transportation planning, annexation, capital <br />improvements, housing and community development initiatives, and evaluation of <br />development applications. Prior to his work for Chapel Hill, Mr. Waldon worked on regional <br />initiatives as Director of Planning Programs for the Triangle J, Council of Governments,. a <br />regional. planning organization based in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. He has <br />also served as an elected official on the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Education. Mr. <br />Waldon is a frequent speaker at national planning conferences, and has lectured on planning <br />topics at Universities in Massachusetts and North Carolina.
