The internal lighting system,consisting of a hundred individual lamps,each <br /> was connected to a single key of a massive keyboard and"played"to sounds of music,pulsating up and down the entire <br /> length of the store's marquee. In conjunction with the gallery exhibition of Layne's drawings'and paintings <br /> and a simultaneous indoor installation and performance piece titled Homage to Poseidon,this archway installation met <br /> the stringent demands required of affixing an artwork to an historic building.
