Each art program will require art supplies <br /> above what the shrinking art budget can provide. <br /> This is a big volunteer coordination proposed program. Both the HAC and the school <br /> system are fully committed to create this system, establish a distribution system, to <br /> collaborate with local organizations and business to create a self-sustaining model that <br /> can be duplicated in each school and be carried through year after year. <br /> Because if the immediate need for supplies and lack of school funding, we are <br /> requesting startup funds to jumpstart the program as soon as possible to keep the <br /> classrooms in each school supplied. To date we have taken a survey of needs from all <br /> of the art educators in Northern Orange County schools. <br /> ARTCYCLE (http://www.hilisboroughartscouncil.ord/#!artcycle/claud) is a HAC program <br /> that collects and distributes donations of new and used supplies to be used in our local <br /> schools' classrooms. Collections will be initiated by the students of the art classes from <br /> families, Artists and businesses liking to recycle useful materials rather then throw them <br /> away. Partnering with the teachers at Orange High School to survey from district art <br /> teachers a list of needs, collect and sort supplies and coordinating with the Orange <br /> County Department of Education to use their intra school currier service to distribute the <br /> supplies. Supplies will also be used in our upcoming Angel of Hope art supply packages <br /> for rising artists. <br /> Schools served by ArtCycle include: <br /> Elementary Schools: Middle Schools: <br /> The Expedition School Gravelly Hill <br /> Pathways A.L.
