Article 6: Development Standard <br /> Section 6.12: Signs <br /> ,a, Single or double-faced signs shall not exceed 32 square feet in area, per <br /> sign face. Clearance of signs is required fr. high voltage power <br /> lines and signs shall be located in such a way that they wil aintain horizontal <br /> and vertical clearance of all overhead electrical conductors in .ccordance with <br /> the National Electric Code specifications, provided that no sign hall be installed <br /> closer than ten feet horizontally or vertically from any conductor o sublic utility <br /> guy wire. <br /> (2) Off-premise commercial signs (billboards) shall be permitted within the C-4, <br /> EC-5, 1-1, and 1-2 zoning districts. <br /> (3) No electric tap outs allowing for an independent light source to receive pow- <br /> shall be allowed. <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 6-87 <br />
