4 <br /> A RESOLUTION MAKING A RECOMMENDATION TO THE ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGARDING THE ETJ SEAT ON THE CHAPEL <br /> HILL PLANNING COMMISSION (2016-04-27/R-4) <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has a resolution regarding the Orange <br /> County Appointment and Orientation Process for Boards and Commissions that specifies "... <br /> When a vacancy exists, the municipality will be requested to provide to the Board of County <br /> Commissioners a resolution with a recommendation for that vacancy;" and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Planning Commission has reviewed the viable application and <br /> made a recommendation to the Chapel Hill Town Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the <br /> Council recommends the Orange County Board of Commissioners appoint Katherine Roberts to <br /> the Chapel Hill Planning Commission ETJ/JPA position. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council will ask the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners to engage in a conversation to reduce the number of ETJ seats to one position. <br /> This the 27th day of April, 2016. <br />
