I have been a law enforcement officer for 23 <br /> years and currently work for the Carrboro police department. I am a Lieutenant and have been a <br /> criminal investigator, K9 officer and a narcotics investigator. I have been an instructor for the <br /> last five years of the NC Carry Conceal Handgun course. The main reason I began instructing <br /> was to educate citizens on the laws pertaining to the use of firearms and to insure safety when <br /> using firearms. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I want to be a fair, impartial sounding board for the citizens of Orange County concerning <br /> firearms safety. I feel that the my experience as a law enforcement officer and an instructor of <br /> the NC Carry Conceal course makes me an excellent candidate to serve on this committee.
