Indoor and Outdoor shooting range experience with a <br /> variety of firearm types (CQB to 1,000 yards). Current NC State Certified Concealed Carry <br /> Firearms Instructor& NC Concealed Handgun permit holder. Past SIG & HK Certified Armorer <br /> training. Extensive practical knowledge and experience, through legal ownership and <br /> professional training, in the safe use and operation of many sporting and military style firearms. <br /> These include many types of NFA regulated Semi-Auto (SBR/SBS/AOW)& Full-Auto Firearms, <br /> Suppressors and the terminal ballistics and chemical/physical properties of many of the rounds <br /> fired from them. <br /> Safety must be our number one priority. Policies which address firearms education, training and <br /> recreational shooting must not be motivated from irrational fears, but from fact based concerns. I <br /> believe that with proper firearms education,we can assist the county to investigate citizen or <br /> county concerns and propose firearm guidelines which address those concerns while <br /> maximizing safety. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> My practical scientific information gathering skills and firearms training/knowledge may be useful <br /> to the board in understanding what types of precautions could be reasonably taken on private <br /> property ranges or to help answer firearms technical questions. I am always interested in how I <br /> can help make our county safer. <br />
