2 <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> To promote self-sufficiency to low income families by providing the Day Care funding <br /> necessary for continued employment, school enrollment, or training activities. <br /> Technical Amendment <br /> 2. The Department on Aging - At the adoption of the FY2015-16 Commissioner <br /> Approved Budget, the Board of County Commissioners approved the grant project <br /> ordinance for the Orange County Senior Health Coordination Program Grant in the <br /> amount of $100,196. The grant project ordinance incorrectly stated that a $39,120 <br /> transfer from the General Fund would match approved expenditures not covered by <br /> grants and charges for services. The ordinance should have stated a transfer of <br /> $41,196 from the General Fund. This budget amendment provides for this correction <br /> to the grant project ordinance by making an appropriation of $2,076 from the General <br /> Fund's Unassigned Fund Balance. The additional County funds provides for <br /> expenditures associated with wellness classes and foot clinic services. This budget <br /> amendment amends the Grant Project Ordinance as follows: (See Attachment 1, <br /> column 2) <br /> Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Grant($2,076) - Project# 294303 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current FY 2015-16 FY 2015-16 <br /> FY 2015-16 Amendment Revised <br /> Senior Citizen Wellness Funds $93,750 $0 $93,750 <br /> From General Fund $41,185 $2,076 $43,261 <br /> Total Project Funding $134,935 $2,076 $137,011 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY FY 2015-16 FY 2015-16 <br /> 2015-16 Amendment Revised <br /> Senior Citizen Wellness $134,935 $2,076 $137,011 <br /> Total Costs $134,935 $2,076 $137,011 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal associated <br /> with this item. <br /> Health Department and Planning Department <br /> 3.
