Specifically, Commissioner <br /> Jacobs requested that the amendment to the policy include: <br /> • The addition of language to the policy will provide the BOCC the ability to <br /> consider and adopt naming a "room" within a County property. This language <br /> has been included in the attached amended policy. Attachment 1 <br /> • The addition of language to the policy will provide the BOCC the ability to <br /> consider and adopt naming a County property for a person that secures funding <br /> for the construction/development of a building or facility. This language has been <br /> included in the attached amended policy. Attachment 1 <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no immediate financial impact related to this discussion. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENABLE FULL CIVIC PARTICIPATION <br /> Ensure that Orange County residents are able to engage government through <br /> voting and volunteering by eliminating disparities in participation and barriers to <br /> participation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive this <br /> information and adopt the policy as amended. <br /> 1 <br />
