<br /> Notice is hereby given that Orange County,NC on behalf of the
<br /> Orange County HOME Consortium will hold a public hearing on
<br /> Thursday,May 5,2016,at 7:00 PM in the:

<br /> This notice is a correction to the previously published notice of
<br /> March 30,2016.
<br /> Orange County is the lead entity for the HOME Consortium and
<br /> as such is required to hold a public hearing on the Annual Ac-
<br /> tion Plan. The Southern Human Services Center is accessible to
<br /> persons with physical disabilities. If special arrangements need
<br /> to be made to accommodate residents in order for them to parti-
<br /> cipate in the public hearing,including Interpreter services and/or
<br /> special sound equipment,these are available upon request
<br /> please call the County Clerk's Office at(919)245-2130.If you
<br /> are disabled and need assistance with reasonable accommoda-
<br /> tions,contact the ADA Coordinator in the County Manager's Of-

<br /> The purpose of the public hearing is to present the Orange
<br /> County HOME Consortium's FFY 2016 Annual Action Plan for
<br /> the use of HOME Investment Partnerships(HOME)Program
<br /> funds. The County anticipates receiving$308,538 in HOME In-
<br /> vestment Partnerships(HOME)funds.The amount is based on
<br /> the latest HUD allocations.The County also anticipates receiv-
<br /> ing$38,069 in program income and the County will reallocate
<br /> $64,481 in previous years'HOME funds for FFY 2016.Addition-
<br /> ally,Orange County will provide a HOME Match in the amount of
<br /> $69,421 in previous years'HOME funds for FFY 2016.Addition-
<br /> ally,Orange County will provide a HOME Match in the amount of
<br /> $69,421.The FFY 2016 Annual Action Plan will be submitted to
<br /> HUD on or before May 13,2016.
<br /> The Orange County HOME Consortium consists of Orange
<br /> County as the Participating Jurisdiction,and the Towns of Car-
<br /> rboro,Hillsborough,and Chapel Hill as member jurisdictions
<br /> Orange County serves as the lead entity for the Annual Action
<br /> Plan.
<br /> In order to obtain the views of residents,public agencies.and
<br /> other interested parties,the Orange County HOME Consortium
<br /> has placed its FFY 2016 Annual Action Plan on display from Fri-
<br /> day,April 1,2016 through Monday,May 2,2016 at the following
<br /> locations during normal operational hours:

<br /> These documents will be available for examination during nor-
<br /> mal business hours of operation for a period of thirty(30)days
<br /> beginning Friday,April 1,2016.The plans will be submitted to
<br /> the County Commissioners on the evening of Thursday,May 5
<br /> 2016,at which time these documents will be presented for ap-
<br /> proval at its regular County Commissioners Meeting at 7:00 PM
<br /> prevailing time.
<br /> The FFY 2016 Annual Action Plan were prepared after conduct-
<br /> ing a public hearing on housing and community development
<br /> needs and meetings with the local staff and officials.
<br /> The following HOME activities are proposed for funding under
<br /> the FFY 2016 Annual Action Plan for the Orange County HOME
<br /> Consortium:
<br /> 'Habitat for Humanity $285,000
<br /> •Rebuilding Together of the Triangle $50,000
<br /> 'Orange County Housing Rehabilitation $114,655
<br /> 'Administration $30,854
<br /> Total FFY 2016 HOME Funds for Project Activities =
<br /> $480,509
<br /> If Orange County would undertake an activity that would result in
<br /> the displacement of families or individuals,they would utilize
<br /> their policy for minimizing such displacement.Furthermore,the
<br /> County is responsible for replacing all low-and moderate-in-
<br /> come housing units that may be demolished or converted as a
<br /> result of HOME Funds.
<br /> All interested persons,groups,and organizations are encour-
<br /> aged to attend this public hearing and will be given the opportun-
<br /> ity to present oral or written testimony concerning the proposed
<br /> plans and uses of Federal funds under the FFY 2016 Annual Ac-
<br /> tion Plan.If special arrangements need to be made to accom-
<br /> modate residents in order for them to participate in the public
<br /> hearing,including a Spanish interpreter,please call Ms.Audrey
