Arts Commission —Appointment <br /> 16 The Board considered making an appointment to the Arts Commission. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> 19 appoint the following to the Arts Commission: <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Appointment to a first full term (position #15) At-Large for Delia Keefe expiring 03/31/2019. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 24 <br /> 25 b. Chapel Hill Orange County Visitors Bureau —Appointment <br /> 26 The Board considered making an appointment to the Chapel Hill Orange County Visitors <br /> 27 Bureau. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> 30 appoint the following to the Chapel Hill Orange County Visitor's Bureau: <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Appointment to a partial term (position #3) Orange County/ Hillsborough Chamber of <br /> 33 Commerce for Allison Nichols-Clapper expiring 12/31/2017. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 36 <br /> 37 12. Board Comments <br /> 38 Commissioner Burroughs said the Board of Health is considering a ban on e-cigarettes <br /> 39 in restaurants, bars and closed areas, and there will be a public comment period from April 10 <br /> 40 to April 27. She said the Board of Health will vote on this item at their next meeting. <br /> 41 Commissioner Pelissier said she attended the Chamber's State of the Community <br /> 42 Report, and all of the data is available on line. She said after the presentation, there small <br /> 43 group discussions about economic development, K-12 education, housing, and transportation <br /> 44 occurred which were interesting. <br /> 45 Commissioner Rich said she spent a morning last week with Community Center Director <br /> 46 David Caldwell touring the community centers. <br /> 47 Commissioner Dorosin had no comments. <br /> 48 Commissioner Price said she attended the district meeting of the NCACC last week, <br /> 49 where she shared updates from Orange County regarding crisis intervention training. She said <br /> 50 many counties praised the efforts being made here. <br />
