Box 8181
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dear Laura,
It was a pleasure finally getting to meet with you also. Not only to discuss our interest in
economic development in the Buckhorn area but personally and professionally.
Yes, Laura your understanding of the City of Mebane and Orange County's agreement is
correct. Orange County will pay to the City of Mebane $50,000 for its part in the
upgrades to the sewer system, and inside rates will be charged to existing owners along
Buckhorn Road, domestic households, the churches and the new Gravelly Hill Middle
School. Any new connections outside of the grant program will be charged in
accordance with the City of Mebane's regulations.
I look forward to a great working relationship with you and Willie Best. Anything I can
do to make the working relationship between the City and the County better, please feel
free to call.
Sincerely,
Robert Wilson
City Manager of Mebane
Chartered in 1881
