Both projects are <br /> designed to further the mission the Department on Aging, and to promote effective <br /> communication between and among the Orange County Board of Commissioners, the <br /> residents of Orange County, and the departments and staff of Orange County Government. <br /> The intern will work directly with, and receive guidance and mentorship from, Beverly <br /> Shuford, Communication Manager. <br /> Expected Duties & Responsibilities: <br /> The Intern will deliver assignments as outlined below. <br /> Specific Projects &Assignments: <br /> 1. Marketing Kit Project: Conduct research and interviews to develop content for <br /> marketing the Department on Aging's services, resources, and programs for older <br /> adults and their caregivers. <br /> Research marketing materials, obtain quotes and compile findings in a report for: <br /> Event/tradeshow marketing tools, floor and tabletop banners, video monitor, <br /> brochures, postcards, rack cards, flyers, and promotional items. <br /> Write content for marketing materials based on research and interviews. Work with <br /> OCDoA Communication Manager, staff and graphic designer to create a unified <br /> marketing kit to include tradeshow and print materials. <br /> 2. Online Press Page & Media File: If time allows, begin research and organization of <br /> all press about Orange County Department on Aging into one departmental media <br /> file (includes: press releases, articles, public services announcements, and TV and <br /> radio interviews and stories), in preparation for future development of an Online <br /> Press Page. <br />
