15 <br />13. Expand on economic growth to provide better tax revenue. Commercial <br />EDD's are so strict that it will not allow economic development. Orange <br />County has a negative image towards growth. <br />14.There should be a process of linking the comprehensive plan to small area <br />planning. Timelines should sync - be very clear. Different activities, <br />intergovernmental relations, infrastructure, should co- mingle to better <br />exist. We should look at Intra- jurisdictional workings between small area <br />plans and everything else. <br />Questions following staff review of next steps: <br />Question 1: Will the draft goals go to Public Hearing as they are now? <br />Answer: Yes, but all comments will be included with Public Hearing materials for <br />review. <br />Question 2: The Planning Board will provide their recommendations and there <br />will be staff recommendations, when will these materials be available? <br />Answer: The Planning Board may be asked to make a recommendation at their <br />September 6th meeting. Draft goals and County Profile Element have been on <br />the website for several weeks. The Abstract and supporting materials for August <br />27th Hearing will also be posted on the County website. <br />
