The map on the reverse side <br />of this letter shows the boundary of the proposed new Zoning Overlay District. <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners and the Orange County Planning Board will hold a <br />joint public hearing on August 27, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Judge F. Gordon Battle Courtroom <br />of the new Orange County Courthouse (106 E. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough). The purpose of <br />the public hearing is for the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the Planning Board to <br />hear comments from the general public, affected parties, and staff on this and other proposals. A <br />decision on the proposed Zoning Overlay District will made by the BOCC at a later date at a <br />regular BOCC meeting after the BOCC receives the Planning Board's recommendation on the <br />proposal. <br />The enclosed materials explain the proposed Efland- Cheeks Overlay District. The complete text <br />of the proposed Efland- Cheeks Overlay District can be viewed on the Planning Department's <br />webpage at: hqp: / /www.co.orange.ne.us /planning /index.asp (in the Current Interest Projects <br />section). The proposed text is also available in the Planning Department offices (306 -F Revere <br />Road, Hillsborough) during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday).
