Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2015- <br /> 16. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> REVENUES: <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 1. The Department of social services anticipates the following additional revenues: <br /> • Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) Administration — receipt of <br /> $295,569 in Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) <br /> administration funds. These additional funds will be used for crisis related heating <br /> needs for Orange County residents. <br /> • Crisis Intervention - receipt of $86,920 in Crisis Intervention funds. These <br /> additional funds will be used for crisis related heating and utility needs for Orange <br /> County residents. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br />
