Founded in 1970, <br /> SCS has focused on all aspects of solid waste management, including facility design,permitting, <br /> engineering, construction and operations. The firm has grown to a staff of nearly 800 engineers, <br /> geologists, scientists, constructors, and technicians with 69 offices located throughout the United <br /> States. We specialize in solid waste consulting services for local government and private <br /> industry clients, and are recognized worldwide for our work. This recognition is the result of <br /> successfully completing thousands of complex and innovative solid waste and materials <br /> management projects. SCS has been consistently ranked by Engineering News Record for the <br /> past 11 years as one of the nation's top solid waste consulting firm. <br /> 2 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SIMILAR PROJECTS <br /> SCS has completed thousands of solid waste projects for municipal clients throughout the United <br /> States. More specifically, SCS has performed the full range of consulting services for solid <br /> waste programs, including rate studies, financial assurance cost estimates, financial pro forma <br /> modeling, Pay-As-You-Throw(PAYT)program evaluations, recycling program funding and <br /> market studies, escrow account analyses, and tipping fee analyses. Our staff has the ability to <br /> offer an independent evaluation of solid waste rates and charges that will allow municipal solid <br /> waste departments to meet their financial obligations, capital funding needs for system <br /> expansion, renewal and replacements, and to set aside appropriate reserve fund balances. Our <br /> financial consulting experts have assisted more than 100 clients in the development of solutions <br /> for administering solid waste and recycling programs resulting in financial stability.
