2 <br />Historic Rogers Road Community Enhancement Plan Meeting <br />June 25, 2007 7:00 PM Homestead Community Center <br />600 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill <br />You are invited to a meeting at the Homestead Community Center to discuss issues local residents <br />deem important for improving the quality of life in your Rogers Road community and to address <br />the concerns related to the long term presence of the solid waste facilities located in the community. <br />The meeting is sponsored by the Historic Rogers Road Task Force which was appointed by the <br />Board of County Commissioners. The meeting will include small group discussions to encourage <br />full participation. <br />Orange County's Board of Commissioners (BOCC) have established a Historic Rogers Road Task <br />Force consisting of elected officials and Rogers Road area neighbors to develop and recommend a <br />plan, including financing options, for the enhancement of the living environment in the historic <br />Rogers Road Community and to monitor the implementation of whatever plan is ultimately <br />adopted by the BOCC. The discussions and recommendations made at the community meeting on <br />June 25 will be used by the Task Force in developing its recommendations. <br />If you are interested in or concerned about the future of your neighborhood please attend the <br />meeting and express you opinions. The BOCC is also interested in your opinions regarding exactly <br />what specific area should be officially considered the "Historic Rogers Road Community". If you <br />have questions regarding this meeting or the Rogers Road Community Enhancement Task Force <br />please call 968-2885 and speak with Gayle Wilson. <br />We look forward to your participation on June 25.
