School Current Expense <br />The CU[[eDi expense aUOC8Uon for both school districts is $53.793.744. Of that total, <br />there is hereby allocated a lump sVno of $33.121'357 for Chapel Hill-CanborO City <br />Schools and $2O.G72'3O7 for the Orange County Schools. This appropriation equates to <br />$3'089 per student based on the March 2007 North Carolina Department of Public \ <br />Instruction certified average daily membership of 11,382 for Chapel Hill-CurrbDno City <br />Schools and 7,148 for the Orange County Schools. <br />Section VI. School Recurring Capital Outlay <br />The recurring capital outlay for both school districts is $2'400,000. There is hereby <br />appropriated $1'458'480 for Chapel Hill-{}anhoro {}ih/ Schools for recurring capital. <br />There is hereby allocated $941,520 for Orange County Schools for recurring capital. <br />Section VII. Reserve for Fair Funding for Schools <br />There i8 8 ReS8[V8 for Fair Funding for Schools iO[]Ud8d in the EdUC2fk}O <br />fUOCtiOO of the General Fund totaling $988.000. The Reserve fund is to be <br />COOtr@C[U@llV distributed equally to the two GChOOl GVSt80OS with Chapel Hill <br />CBF[bDPD City Schools receiving $494,000 and Orange County Schools receiving <br />$494.()()0fO address school safety and health needs. <br />
