3 <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior <br /> injuries, gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> The conference being attended through this donation will provide educational <br /> components to create expanding ability to provide fair treatment and meaningful <br /> involvement of all people regardless of race or color; religious or philosophical beliefs; <br /> sex, gender or sexual orientation; national origin or ethnic background; age; military <br /> service; disability; and familial, residential or economic status. Additionally, librarians will <br /> be given tools to create a safe community and encourage customers to engage in full <br /> civic participation by removing literacy barriers. <br /> Planning/Inspections and Orange Public Transportation <br /> 4. At its February 2, 2016 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved a <br /> project agreement resolution endorsing a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality <br /> (CMAQ) Grant award with North Carolina Department of Transportation. This three- <br /> year grant includes $164,129 in Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funds, and a <br /> local match of $41,033, for a total grant project of $205,162. The local match funds <br /> will be provided through the Orange County 1/2 cent Transit Tax, administered by <br /> GoTriangle. When the CMAQ transit operations funds for the new service are <br /> exhausted after three years, the % cent Transit Tax proceeds will be used to cover the <br /> cost of the service.
