11 <br /> 1 Commissioner Burroughs asked if the very last line of the shooting activities could be <br /> 2 reviewed regarding allowing two days of incidental shooting. She said the wording may not <br /> 3 reflect the actual desire of that which the County seeks. <br /> 4 A motion made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to adopt the <br /> 5 Statement of Consistency as contained in Attachment 8 and to adopt the revised UDO <br /> 6 amendment package as contained within Attachment 9 consistent with the recommendation of <br /> 7 the County Attorney's office. The revised UDO amendment eliminates the proposed language <br /> 8 currently contained within Section 5.7.1 (A) (2) (a) establishing land use regulations governing <br /> 9 the discharge of firearms on private property. The Attorney's office will be incorporating <br /> 10 regulations governing the discharge of firearms on private property within a future amendment <br /> 11 to the General County Code of Ordinances to be enforced by the Sheriff's Office to be <br /> 12 presented at the February 2, 2016 regular meeting for consideration. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 15 <br /> 16 6. Consent Agenda <br /> 17 <br /> 18 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 19 <br /> 20 • Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 21 <br /> 22 A motion was made by Commissioner Burroughs, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 23 approve the remaining items on the Consent Agenda. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Bonnie Hammersley said under 6-g there was an error, and the abstract should have <br /> 26 stated both Commissioner Price and Commissioner Pelissier for this item. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 29 <br /> 30 • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> 31 <br /> 32 a. Minutes <br /> 33 The Board approved the minutes from November 23 and December 15, 2015 as submitted by <br /> 34 the Clerk to the Board. <br /> 35 b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 36 The Board adopted of a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle <br /> 37 property tax values for six (6) taxpayers with a total of six (6) bills that will result in a reduction <br /> 38 of revenue, in accordance with the NCGS. <br /> 39 c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 40 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> 41 values for eleven (11) taxpayers with a total of fourteen (14) bills that will result in a reduction of <br /> 42 revenue, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> 43 d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> 44 The Board approved untimely applications from eight (8) taxpayers for exemption/exclusion <br /> 45 from ad valorem taxation for thirty-five (35) bills for the 2015 tax year. <br /> 46 e. Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget Amendment#5 <br /> 47 The Board approved budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2015-16 for the Health <br /> 48 Department, and Animal Services. <br /> 49 f. Request for Road Addition to the State Maintained Secondary Road System <br />
