<br />Athletic Program Supervisor <br />Page 2 <br />KNOWLEDGE REQUIl2ED BY THE POSITION: <br />o Knowledge of Athletics programming. <br />o Knowledge of Athletics marketing and promotion. <br />o Knowledge and ability in budgeting, specifying and negotiating for services, equipment <br />and supplies <br />o Knowledge and ability to order and assemble supplies necessary for athletic programs. <br />o Knowledge and understanding in familial and interpersonal relationships to facilitate <br />appropriate coaching/mentoring/supporting roles of clients. <br />o Knowledge of technical aspects of playing fields/courts/surfaces. <br />o Knowledge of CPR and first-aid techniques. <br />o Ability to direct and instruct in the performance of routine and specialized provision of <br />services in athletics. <br />o Ability to develop flyers, brochures, media materials, etc related to the delivery of <br />Athletics Programs and Special Events. <br />o Ability to recognize cause and effect of coaching practices and results on participants. <br />o Ability to determine appropriate solutions for resulting problems. <br />o Ability to build positive relationships, advise, teach and/or assist staff, coaches and <br />officials with their respective duties <br />o Good written and oral communication and supervisory skills and experience. <br />o Knowledge of the principles and techniques of recreation administration. <br />o Knowledge of the rules, equipment, and facilities requirements for a variety of sports and <br />games. <br />o Knowledge of relevant laws, county and department policies and procedures, and <br />program objectives. <br />
