Chief Inspector and Plans Examiner <br />Page 3 <br />a~ <br />SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Provides field supervision and interpretation <br />of codes to inspectors, and assists in the training, evaluation and hiring of new Inspectors. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in <br />the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. <br />• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to <br />answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with three to five years experience in the <br />building construction trade including reviewing building plans and conducting fields inspections. <br />• Certification at Level III building code inspection by the State of North Carolina. Certification at <br />Level II for electrical, plumbing and mechanical code inspections by the State of North Carolina. <br />Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license. <br />
